Holy Baptism

We welcome those seeking Baptism to our church.  Baptism is entry into the Christian Church.  As Anglicans we baptise babies and young children on the understanding that they will be brought up in the Christian Faith.  The Christian promises are made on the behalf of the babies and young children by their sponsors (Godparents).  When the children are old enough (usually in this Diocese, mid teens or older) they take the promises upon themselves in the service of Confirmation.
Baptisms are normally held on Sunday at the 9.30 am Eucharist.  Other saints days and holy days can also be appropriate, or on occasion different times can be made available.
