St Paul's Annual Reports and Returns

Parish AGM - 11 June 2017

Our Annual Meeting will be held on Sunday 8 June, 2017, commencing at 11.00am. All members of the parish are encouraged to attend. If you wish to vote, you must have a Enrollment in Parish Form filled in. You can click on link below to open an electronic version of this form, which must then be returned to the parish priest.

Youth Service - 5th Sunday

Do come along to our Youth Service this Sunday - as many young people as possible would be great! Simple worship, great music, craft and activities for all who wish!

Easter Day - 16 April - Lighting the New Fire, Vigil,
Baptismal renewal, First Eucharist of Easter - 6.00am
(Champagne and Chicken Breakfast after service)

Easter Family Eucharist -16 April - Renewal of
Baptismal vows and Eucharist - 9.30am
(after service: Easter Egg Hunt for children)

Hi everyone!

The Good Shepherd Centre

is holding a Car Boot Sale on Saturday 25th March, 2017. The gates will open at 7.30am for the sellers and it will cost you $10.00 a bay.
Buyers can enter at 8.00am for free.
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to clean out your cupboards and sheds and make a great deal of money. What you don’t sell, you will need to take home. Please remember ... no electrical goods can be sold.

  • There are 31 plastic chairs in excellent condition going only for $5.00 per chair. Bargain.
  • There are 3 metal storage cupboards going for $75.00 each or ONO. Reasonable price will be considered.
  • There are a few padded chairs and coffee table, which would look lovely in a garden. Price negotiable.
  • White boards and other odds and ends are going for sale.
  • The carpet on the floor is in fabulous condition and if you would like to pull it up and make on offer you are most welcome to do so.
  • There is this fabulous shed for sale. You would need to dismantle it yourself and cart it away. Going with the shed are the pavers.
  • This shed has only housed children’s toys and is in near new condition. The colour is federation green. Price $200.00 ONO

This is the final activity forThe Good Shepherd Centre, which will be demolished after 43 years of being a beautiful Church and outreach Centre for the people of Balga and surrounding areas.

Anglican Diocese of Perth

The Perth Diocese has asked all parishes to ensure that the following is publicised (information from Diocese):

 

In the light of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, we would like to advise that there are a number of expectations placed on clergy and laity who hold office in the Diocese. A document has been placed on the church notice board stating the expectations and the training that is required.   

 

If any of you have suffered abuse, or know of anyone who has suffered, we encourage you to make contact with the Director of Professional Standards, Ms Tracie Chambers-Clark 9425 7203, or the police.

5th Sunday Youth Service

Come along this Sunday at St Paul's for our 5th Sunday Youth Service.  As we are having a Baptism in the service, the theme will be Baptism and will give children and young people the opportunity to understand about Baptism.As well as the service there will be craft (with prizes!)All welcome

St Paul's Day

St Paul's Day celebration

We will be celebrating St Paul's Day on 3 July - come and join us for Sung Eucharist, with Dinka music as well!  Following the service, we will be having a BBQ in the School Gounds. All welcome.

Dinka Dance Group

Dinka Dance Group

Last Sunday, the Dinka Dance Group was with us at St Paul's.  The dancing and the music were spectacular.  The group is a great addition to the Dinka community in North Perth.

Commissioning of new choir members

Last Tuesday, the choir offered a stunning evensong, and new choir members were commissioned. After the service refreshments were served and the cake cut. A delightful evening.

Visiting St Paul's

The Song Company

We will be having some special visitors at St Paul's for Evensong on 24 May.  There is to be a visit by the highly renowned Song Company who will be joining our Chapel Choir to sing the Evensong.Do make every effort to come along to be part of this very special Evensong.Details: 

  • At St Paul's Anglican Church, in the ground of John Septimus Anglican Community School (see contact page for map for location)
  • On Tuesday May 24
  • Commencing at 5.00pm

Parking is available in the carpark behind the school.
